Hudson Valley’s Most Experienced Event Planner
Heather Kinkade’s vast experience in the event world runs deep. Her journey began in her teens, where she serviced weddings, special events and corporate gatherings at a private golf club in the Hudson Valley. Heather quickly climbed the ranks in her early years. She became a key member of their busy events team, and was regularly responsible for arranging and organizing the care of VIPs for each event. This position was held through her college years at SUNY New Paltz.
After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Heather was referred to a fast paced, well known event rental company, where she served as the Director of Sales. A hands-on position, she led the day to day sales and marketing efforts of the company.
Heather played a key role in the overall daily operation as well. Her skill set grew to include inventory management, product purchasing, staffing, logistics, accounts receivable, accounts payable, client relations and negotiation. During her tenure, the company saw a 72% overall increase in business.
Over 15 Years of Experience
Heather then received an opportunity to join the planning and coordination world first working as a lead coordinator for Oz Hospitality. She combined her love of sales with her creative spirit, booking new event contracts by day and heading up current event contract production at night. She also managed the day-to-day needs of the venue . Working directly for the owner, Heather was also afforded travel opportunities, servicing events in both Palm Beach and NYC.
From there, Heather has ventured on her own, serving as an event director and sales consultant for multiple Hudson Valley venues. With her at the helm , these locations have received guidance in sales, marketing, catering and event management. She is thrilled to expand upon the Charmed Places brand.
